The original book cover which was published in 1960, after Shute’s death. The second time this author has appeared on this list. There are several authors who have multiple books on the list. I think that reflects well on how well the book was perceived.
The story takes place in England. It is an interesting story about a man who suddenly becomes a trustee to his niece. He tries to find the ship that his sister wrecked in to find the lost jewels. It was a very interesting novel.
